Local councils and territorial authorities across Aotearoa New Zealand are set to have crucial elections in October 2022. The Public Policy Club aims to utilise these elections, particularly in Tāmaki Makaurau, to further our founding mission of facilitating greater political engagement, development, and turnout among young voters of all educational and ideological backgrounds.
These elections are typically characterised by low voter turnout – especially among young people. However, crucial aspects of public policy are determined by these elections.
