As connected to PPC’s first aim, Access to Policy, our tertiary team conducts a fortnightly ‘Policy Kōrero,’ throughout each semester, where those in attendance can discuss different policies and their impacts in a safe and respectful environment.
Each kōrero event aims to bridge the gap in understanding between governmental policy decisions and the areas which students are pursuing in their studies. At each event, those in attendance are given a brief overview of a policy and the issues it is trying to improve. A few prompting questions are used to start the kōrero, letting the conversation take its own journey.
